BMI & waist calculator
Calculate your body mass index (BMI) and assess waist-related obesity risk.
- < 18.5 — underweight
- 18.5–24.9 — normal
- 25.0–29.9 — overweight
- ≥ 30.0 — obesity
- Male: < 94 / 94–101 / ≥ 102 cm
- Female: < 80 / 80–87 / ≥ 88 cm
BMI is a simple tool that does not distinguish muscle from fat. Athletes and elderly may need different interpretation.
ICR — insulin-to-carb ratio
1 unit of rapid-acting insulin per X g of carbs. Based on the 500 rule.
TDD = basal insulin + all meal boluses over 24 h
Enter carbs you plan to eat — we compute the bolus
The 500 rule is a starting estimate for rapid-acting insulin. Real ICR varies by meal, activity and cycle. Adjust only with your diabetes nurse / endocrinologist.
ISF — insulin sensitivity factor
1 unit of rapid-acting insulin lowers blood glucose by X mmol/L. Based on the 100 rule.
The 100 rule applies to rapid-acting insulin. Do not stack corrections — consider insulin on board. If BG < 4 mmol/L, do NOT take a correction. Tune ISF with your physician.
